Congratulations to J.J and Kristi Elmore of Tennessee. They are the proud parents of a baby boy, born one day last week. Tommy and Helen Elmore of hamburg are the paternal grandparents. Elsie Elmore is the great grandmother.

Agatha Cowart of Idabel, Okla., spent a couple of nights last week with her mother, Annie Mae Hooks. Debbie and Whittney Ashbrook of Texarkana visited Annie Mae Sunday afternoon.

Karen House has accepted a job in West Monroe, La. Her parents, Billy and Reba House, helped her move the last of the week. She started work Monday.

Harper Ursery of Sunnyvale, Texas, and Theo Flaherty of McCaskill visited Syble and Roy Brown and Willie and me Monday. Launer and Arleen West of Hope also visited Roy and Syble last week.

Our son, Willie Hugh, also visited us last week. The men folks did a little hunting and fishing.

We are sorry to hear Carrie Gourley had surgery last week. We send get well wishes to all our sick.

Lauren House of Little Rock spent last week with grandparents, Lenord and Faye House.

Mike and Ben Ridgell of California arrived Friday to spend a few days with their dad, Paul Ridgell, and wife Robin.

Wanda Stevens spent Sunday with her sisters, Doris Ridgell and Mary Perkins, at the home of Kay Wren. Herbie and Paul Ridgell and other members of the family dropped in and out.

Pat Loe, Shorty Garner and Chloe Orren's son and wife visited her last week.

Elsie Elmore spent last week with her son, Tommy, and family and daughter, Martha Allison, and family of Hamburg. She returned home Friday.

Mildred White spent a few days with her son, Marty White, and family of Little Rock. She did some babysitting with her grandson Payton.

Hazel Meeks is sick. I don't know if she will feel like writing news or not.

A thought: Learn from the mistakes of others. You can't live long enough to make all the mistakes yourself.
