L.W. ForestPublished Wednesday, March 15, 2000 in the Gurdon TimesL.W. Forrest, 62, of Warren died Saturday, March 4, 2000, at his home. Mr. Forrest was born August 18, 1937, in Bradley County. He was a retired truck driver for Great Lake Chemical Company. Mr. Forrest was a member of Southside Baptist Church and a mason, being a member of Warren Lodge 33, F&AM. Survivors include his wife, Joann Reep Forrest, whom he married April 14, 1956; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael Wayne and Laura Forrest of Camden; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Dan Hughes of Whelen Springs, Lisa and Murphy Walker and Cynthia Ann and Wayne Green, all of Choudrant, La.; his mother, Adra Cox Forrest of Monticello; four brothers, Bruce Forrest of Monticello, Daniel Forrest of Fordyce, Donald Dewayne Forrest of Monticello and Johnny Ray Forrest of Dallas, Texas; four sisters, Carolyn Frances Masters of Monticello, Ida Mae Guthrie of Monticello, Rebecca Hines of Malvern and Deborah Diane Camden of Monticello; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Penix Forrest, and a sister, Patricia Nell Perry. Graveside services and burial were held Monday, March 6, in Oakland Cemetery with Rev. Wayman Mann officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Frazer's Funeral Home of Warren. Active pallbearers were Bruce Forrest, Bobby Tudor, Bob Johnson, Rob Johnson, Charles Watson, Luther McCullough, Curtis Harton, Tony Rhinehart, Don Stubblefield and Johnny Mack Ellis.
