Gardening Class Planned At HSU

The Office of Continuing Education-Lifelong Learning at Henderson State University will offer a new class on Gardening and Landscaping; on Saturday, April 8, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon in the HSU Caddo Cafeteria, room B, in Arkadelphia.

Participants will learn plant identification and landscape design. Tips and techniques on how to use shortcuts to decrease yard maintenance time will be explored along with where, when and what to plant.

Sample designs will be provided and actual landscapes will be viewed and discussed with improvements demonstrated.

Cost for this workshop is $22.

Also being offered are classes on Microsoft Office 2000' in room 217 at the Caplinger Airway Science Building.

Session one began March 14, and will continue one March 16, 28 and 30. Session two will be held April 4, 6, 11 and 13. Cost for each series is $79.

Roadside Survival' is a new class to be offered in two locations, Arkadelphia and Hot Springs. This class is recommended for parent-teenager teams.

Cost for each workshop will be $22. Contact Paula Cook before April 1.

Self Defense for Women and Men' will be held in the HSU Garrison Center Banquet Room Monday, April 10, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The cost for the workshop is $29.
