Roy Almond Loomis

Roy Almond Loomis, 95, of Prescott died Friday, March 4, 2000, in Benton.

Mr. Loomis was born January 20, 1905, in Prescott to Hiram Almond Loomis and Kate House Loomis. He was the retired owner and operator of Prescott Implement Company. He was a World War II veteran. Mr. Loomis was a member of First Baptist Church of Prescott, where he was a deacon emeritus He was a 32nd degree Mason and a former county treasurer.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Martha Loomis of Hot Springs; a brother, Wayne Loomis of Tulsa, Okla.; a sister, Jessie Moore of Neosho, Mo.; and two granddaughters, Melissa Loomis of Denver, Colo., and Mandi Loomis of Chicago, Ill.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 7, at First Baptist Church in Prescott with Jerry Westmoreland officiating. Burial was in DeAnn Cemetery under the direction of Shackelford Funeral Home of Prescott.

Memorial may be made to First Baptist Church of Prescott.
