Fair HillBarbara CorneliusPublished Wednesday, March 8, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune Last week's news: Mr. and Mrs. Dude Trease from Millwood Lake visited with Irene Head over the weekend. Claude Head is still in Arkansas Heart Hospital. His condition is still the same. Al Formby and Kim Overton had supper with Tracy and Marcia Bennett Sunday evening. Robert and Bobby McCain from Magnolia and Mark and Brenda McCain visited with Lois McCain Saturday. Gerald Overton passed away Wednesday. He was buried at Morris (Caney) Cemetery. Prayers go out to this family. Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Stuart from Crossett visited with Henry Stuart Sunday. John Henry Collins from Memphis visited with his mother, Ruby Fontaine, and Thomas. Nina Beth Thompson visited with John Henry over the weekend going over family history. Clancey Cleveland from Emmet spent the weekend with Aaron Morton. They did some fishing. Emma Hardy visited with us Sunday afternoon, riding her bike around the neighborhood. Kim and Tony Overton will be celebrating their leap year birthday's Tuesday. Happy birthday goes out to my kids. This week's news: Claude Head came home from Arkansas Heart Hospital. He is still about the same. Aaron Morton spent Saturday and Sunday with his dad, Mike Morton, in McCaskill. They went fishing at Millwood. Aaron said he had no luck with the fish, but did see two alligators. I talked with Ruby Fontaine Sunday night. She is not feeling good. A sore throat has about got her down. Henry Stuart was sick last week with a cold. He is feeling better now. Saturday evening we all enjoyed a cookout at my parents, J.W. and Maxine Glass. Tony Overton, Al Formby, Kim Overton, Tom and I were among 26 other family members to feast on steak and chicken. We had a wonderful time. Nubbin Hill, Pleasant Hill and Fairview folks, if you have something you would like for me to write, call me Sunday afternoon. Enjoy your week.
