Festival This Weekend; Tons Of Events, Contests Are Scheduled (cont)

In addition, the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will again have its traveling aquarium on hand showing the fish native to Arkansas rivers, lakes and creeks.

There will also be pony and train rides for the youngsters.

An old event is making a return to the festival, as a horseshoe pitching tournament has been scheduled.

This event will take place at noon Saturday as the contestants try and "ring the chicken's neck".

There is a $25 entry fee for the contest, with the deadline for entering being Thursday at 5 p.m.

Entertainment for this year's festival has been set. The festivities will begin with Alejandra Ramos, followed by Steve Otwell and Misty Holley.

Other acts include the Little Dance People, Eric Shipp, Russell Carlton, Margie Dansby, Traci Graham, Faith Singers-Mattie Tidwell and the Cross Road Singers.
