Letter To The EditorPublished Wednesday, March 8, 2000 in the Gurdon TimesLibrary Books Need To Be Returned Dear Editor: There are times when I try to check out a specific book at the library that I am told that the folks who had it moved out of town or just won't bring it back. Many books are lost to the people of Gurdon in just that way, and this is our taxpayer money being wasted. The librarians tell me that they even offer to excuse the fines, as they just want the book returned. Citizens of Gurdon, please check your shelves and cabinets for forgotten library books so that the rest of us may enjoy them once again. Thank You. A patron of the library Rebekah S. Newspaper articles have been contributed to the Prescott Community Freenet Association as a "current history" of our area. Articles dated December 1981 through May 2001 were contributed by Ragsdale Printing Company, Inc. Articles June 2001 to ? were contributed by Better Built Group, Inc. Ownership of all Nevada County Picayune content from the beginning of the newspaper, including predecessors, until May 2001 was contributed by the John and Betty Ragsdale family to the Prescott Community Freenet Association.
