There will be a business meeting and clean up day for the Southfork Cemetery Sat., March 18, beginning at 8:30 a.m. Take your brooms and rakes.

The Central Arkansas Development Council will distribute commodity foods at the Gurdon Senior Adult Center, 410 E. Main, on Tues., March 14. Distribution will be from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The diabetic education meeting this month will be Thurs., March 9, at 2:00 p.m. in the Extension Homemakers kitchen at the Clark County Fairgrounds. Meeting is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by AllCare Pharmacy and CCE.

The board of directors of the Southwest Central Regional Solid Waste District will meet at 10:00 a.m. today, Wed., March 15, at the Gurdon City Hall.

Arkansas Rehabilitation Services will be holding sessions at the Gurdon Municipal Building on March 9 and 23 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. For more information call 353-2514.

Rhonda L. Williams, Clark County Clerk, encourages any registered voter who has moved within Clark County and has not contacted the county clerk's office to make an address change to do so by calling 246-4491.

Revival and homecoming for Centerpoint Baptist Church will begin Sunday morning, March 12, along with singing that afternoon at 1:30 p.m. with Bro. Phillip Taylor speaking. Each night of the revival will have a different speaker and will begin at 7:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

The board of directors of the Southwest Central Regional Solid Waste District will meet at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 15, at Gurdon City Hall.

Revival continues through tonight (Wednesday, March 8) at New Caney Baptist Church, Highway 53 North. Services begin at 7:00. Bro. Paul Sheets is the evangelist.

Center Ridge Cemetery Assn. will meet March 13 at 2:00 p.m. at Center Grove Church. Those interested should be present.

Flea market at the Clark County Fairgrounds will be held May 6. It is sponsored by the Extension Homemakers Clubs. Inside and outside booths are now available, call 353-2616 or 246-7845 for information on booth rentals.

The city of Gurdon reminds residents the storm sirens are tested every Wednesday at 12:00 noon. Sirens are not tested during inclement weather.

Gurdon Lions Club is now able to begin collecting old eye glasses. The collection point in Gurdon is First Baptist Church or you can call Charles Shaver at 353-4640.

Old glasses are recycled by Lions International.

Gurdon Masonic Lodge 187 meets the first and third Tuesday of each month. All members are urged to attend.

Alcoholics Anonymous meets on Wednesdays and Sundays at 8:00 p.m. at the American Legion building, Highway 67 North, one mile out of Gurdon.
