Gus Kisselburg, a senior at Prescott High School, has been offered the Award Achievement Scholarship to Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, according to the Office of Univeristy Relations/Admissions.

According to Vikita Bell Hardwrick, the Award of Achievement Scholarship is equivalent to $500 per semester for up to five years, which equals approximately $4,000.

Kisselburg is the son of Wayne and Jacque Kisselburg of Prescott.


Julianna Marie Bruno, a junior music education major from Prescott, was recently named to the dean's list at Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Okla.

Bruno is the daughter of Janice and Buddy Carter of Prescott.


Michelle Block and Brenisha Young, seniors at Nevada High School, have been awarded scholarships at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope.

Block's is a technical scholarship and Young's is an academic scholarship. The scholarships are based on ACT scores and grade point average plus recommendations from a school official.

Young is the daughter of Joe and Brenda Jones of Buckner. Block is the daughter of Kenneth Block and Doris Evans of Rosston. They both will be entering the LPN program.
