Black History program and trustee rally was held Sunday, February 27, at New Bethel AME in Rosston. Guest speaker was Rev. W. King. Guest church was New Union AME Church organization. Rev. King's text was 'Doing Just the Opposite.' He told all about the duties of trustee. New Union AME Church really has a good choir. They can really make you happy. We really did have a good time.

Our pastor preached a good sermon Sunday morning. He is getting better and better.

Sylble 'Pete' Dockery passed away Saturday. He served as a Nevada County Deputy Sheriff for several years. He was a very good person. He was the same every time he met you. His funeral has not been set at this writing.

My good friend, Mrs. Ina Jarvis, was buried Thursday. Her husband is Lee Jarvis. They were nice people to work for. Sympathy goes out to the Jarvis family and the Dockery family.

We don't have many old people left. We were all born to die.

Our pastor, Rev. Banks, and Bro. Bobby Gulley visited Sis. Girtie Blake and Bro. Thurman Simpson Sunday afternoon.

I took George Kendrick to Medical Park Hospital Thursday for some X-rays. He is not doing well at the present.
