Nevada County Picayune and Gurdon Times Newspaper Archive |
BodcawAline ClausPublished Wednesday, March 1, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune I guess I better let you hear from me again. We had a nice rain and it looks like spring is just around the corner. Pat and Butch Wilbanks spent Wednesday night with mom and dad, J.D. and Marie Allen. Jerry, I want to tell you I had a stroll down memory lane and went to Goose Ankle. I really enjoyed the look. Chad, Brandi and Wesley Butler of Cabot spent the weekend with David, Peggy and Cody of Blevins and Deck, Earlene and Todd Butler and me. We enjoyed them. Sorry to report the death of Audrey Fore. Services were Sunday at Holly Springs. Remember this family. Some of you will remember Pete Dockery as constable of this end of the county. He passed away after a lengthy illness. Mike, Jackie Allen and Amy visited Andy and Coleen Allen of Hot Springs on Saturday for a baby shower and to visit J.D. and Marie Allen and the Jack Fieldings of Hope. Jewell Poindexter brought his grandchildren, Hayden and Racey, to Sunday school. Norris Daniels is visiting daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Ted Purtle, of Round Rock, Texas. We had a house trading a few days ago Jerry Fielding and the Daniel Clements. One was looking for a larger house, the other for a smaller one. Hope they enjoy the change. If you like to see the news in the paper you need to call me with your news. You are amazed sometime at who tells you they read it. I even had one call to see if I was sick, because I didn't have any news last week. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
