Elk Horn Sets Bash

Elk Horn Bank is celebrating its 116th birthday March 1 with a party to honor the 'team spirit of Arkadelphia.'

'Drive Time Sports with Randy Rainwater' will begin at 4:00. The broadcast will be live from the main lobby at Sixth and Main. Coaches from Ouachita Baptist University and Henderson State University will be participating in the talk show, heard over many radio stations across the state.

The fun actually begins at noon and will continue until 6:30 p.m., the radio program goes off.

Sports activities will be set up in the bank's rear parking lot with basketball hoops, a fast pitch challenge with Arkadelphia schools, putting greens and more. Inside the bank there will be popcorn, peanuts and root beer, along with displays of Elk Horn's team of merchants.

At 5:30 there will be an informal fashion show on the rear parking lot, featuring local merchants and customers in a spring spirit fashion show. Door prizes from area merchants and Elk Horn Bank will be drawn at 6 p.m.

Everyone is invited to join in the fun of the 'team spirit' at Elk Horn.
