A 39-year-old Rosston man was killed in a one-vehicle accident Wednesday, Feb. 16.

According to Nevada County Sheriff Steve Otwell, at around 11 p.m., Rory Hufnagle was traveling west on County Road 18, also known as Wildcat Road, when he apparently lost control of the 1999 Ford pickup he was driving.

The truck traveled more than 300 feet, Otwell said, "flipping and rolling," before ejecting Hufnagle. The victim was thrown about 65 feet from the vehicle.

Paramedics with the Nevada County Ambulance Service were called to the scene and transported Hufnagle to Medical Park Hospital in Hope.

According to Otwell, Hufnagle lived for 10 or 15 minutes after being taken to MPH and was then pronounced dead.

Blood samples were taken from the victim's body and have been sent to the Arkansas Crime Lab for testing to see if alcohol was involved.

The incident, Otwell said, is still under investigation.
