Black history program is Sun., Feb. 27, at 2:00 p.m. at New Mt. Zion Baptist Church of the city. Everyone and all churches welcome. Guest speaker will be Mrs. Vikita Bell Hardwick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bell Jr. Sis. Rose C. Crow is the youth director. Rev. Quintin Radford, pastor.

Gospel concert will be held at Williams Temple Church of God in Christ of Sparkman on Sun,, Feb. 20, at 7:00 p.m. Everyone and all churches welcome. Featured singing groups are the Humming Bees of Texarkana and the Melody Airs of Jersey. Elder Paul Williams, pastor.

Women in Red sponsored by Section One W.M.U. will be March 18 at 6:30 p.m. at New Mt. Zion Baptist Church of the city. Everyone and all churches are welcome. Mrs. Odessia Hatley of Gurdon is in St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock, where she had surgery. She is reported to be doing fair at this writing.

Mrs. Margree Gatlin of Gurdon is doing fair after her minor surgery.

The father of Audry Faye Sims passed away in Shreveport, La. Funeral services will be held Tues., Feb. 15, at 11:00 a.m. in Shreveport.

Odray Anderson is home and reported to be doing fair.

Sis. Mattie Stephens of Gurdon is in Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock and reported to be in fair condition. She is the aunt of Mrs. Lila Bell.

Wishing Mrs. Helen Burton of Chicago, Ill., a belated happy birthday Feb. 12. She is my mother and Winfred Burton's.

Happy birthday to Fredrick Hatley, Connie Williams and Milton Golden on Sat., Feb. 19.

William Edward Harrington of Chicago, Ill., is here visiting his mother, Willie Sue Harrington, in Little Rock as well as relatives in Okolona, Gurdon and other surrounding areas.
