Manning To Seek Reelection As Judge

Floyd 'Buddy' Manning has announced his candidacy for re-election to the office of Clark County Judge.

Raised on a farm in the Richwoods community, Manning is a native of Clark County. Before his election as Clark County Judge, he owned a successful timber contracting business.

Manning and his wife, Beverly, have two daughters, Jill Manning and Karen Arnold, married to Ricky Arnold, who all live and work in Clark County. They have one grandson, Clint Arnold.

He and his family are members of Third Street Baptist Church, where he serves as Sunday school superintendent, trustee and deacon. Manning served two terms on the Arkadelphia School board, including three years as president and one term on the Clark County Quorum Court.

"I want to thank the citizens of Clark County for allowing me to serve as County Judge," he said in a prepared statement. "We have operated this office in an honest and professional manner and will continue to meet each challenge and solve problems as they arise.

"I have enjoyed my first year as County Judge and am excited about the future of the County. I hope you will allow me to continue to serve as Judge," he said
