Kellye Amanda Sayers

Kellye Amanda Sayers, 17, of Prescott formally of Plain Dealing, La., was called home by her Lord Tuesday, February 8, 2000.

Kellye was born September 30, 1982, in Springhill, La. She was a loving daughter, sister and friend. She was a Christian and member of Oak Hill Baptist Church in Plain Dealing. Kellye was a student at Prescott High School, a senior classmate of the class of 2000. She was a member of FBLA, Science Club, past manager of the Wolverette basketball and track teams and senior Curley Wolves cheerleading squad.

She is survived by her mother, Melanie Van Sayers; brother Thomas Sayers, both of Prescott; father, Robert Lynn Sayers of Sarepta, La.; maternal grandparents, Joe and Yvonne Van of Plain Dealing; paternal grandparents, Billy and Zeophia Sayers of Sarepta; paternal great grandparents, Mildred Carr of Cullen, La.; and A.D. Sayers of Homer, La.; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Services were held Saturday, February 12, at Plain Dealing Baptist Church with Rev. Ernest DeSoto and Rev. Wayne Craig officiating. She was laid to rest on a mountain side, close to her Lord at Rocky Mount Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Mortuary.
