College NewsPublished Wednesday, February 9, 2000 in the Nevada County PicayuneThe University of Arkansas in Fayetteville has announced its honor roll for the fall semester. Jana E. Barfield and William S. Virden of Prescott were named to the honor roll. Barfield made the chancellor's list and Virden made the deans's list. A total of 323 students at Centenary College of Louisiana, including eight from Arkansas, have been named to the fall dean's list. The honor list names students who have achieved a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher in 12 or more semester hours taken for a letter grad. Nathaniel Lucena of Prescott was on the dean's list. The Office of University Relations/Admissions of Henderson State University in Arkadelphia has announced that Brittany Collins has been awarded the University Academic Scholarship for 2000-01. The scholarship is equivalent to in-state tuition and fees for up to four years, which equals around $9,992, according to director Vikita Bell Hardwick. Collins if the daughter of Don Collins of Prescott and Vicki Taylor of Camden. She is currently a student at Camden Harmony Grove High School.
