Deaths, FuneralsPublished Wednesday, February 9, 2000 in the Nevada County PicayuneWilford Maurice Price Willford Maurice Price, 49, died Thursday, January 27, 2000. Mr. Price was born August 4, 1950, in Arkadelphia, the son of Wilford M. and Nina Rutherford Price. He was a administrator for Rivercrest Healthcare and a member of Antoine Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Wilford M. Price. Survivors include his wife, Marie Dodson Price; one son, Christopher Price of Mabelvale; one daughter, Jackie Isom Price of Mabelvale; two step-daughters, Angela Sanders of Alexander and Eva Isom Kinley of England; his mother, Nina Price of Prescott; one brother, Cecil O. Price of Little Rock; three sisters, Peggy McLelland of Dierks, Brenda Williams of Prescott and Linda Minish of Nashville; and five step-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Thursday, February 3, in the Ruggles-Wilcox Chapel in Arkadelphia with Rev. Tom Greer and Rev. Gene Jester officiating. Burial was in Antoine Cemetery under the direction of Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home of Arkadelphia. Memorials may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock. Pallbearers were Larry Williams, David Sanders, Steve Kinley, Dennis Burnett, Freddie Burnett and Sonny Minish. Denman N. Wylie Denman N. Wylie, 91, of Emmet died Thursday, January 27, 2000, at Heather Manor Nursing Center. Mr. Wylie was born January 29, 1908, in Emmet to Robert and Agnes Breed Wylie. He was a retired farmer, member of Emmet United Methodist Church and the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Avie Wylie of Emmet and four nieces. Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 1, in the Herndon Funeral Home Chapel in Hope with Rev. J.R. Callicott officiating. Burial was in Snell Cemetery under the direction of Herndon Funeral Home of Hope. John Cason John Cason, 61, of Prescott died Tuesday, February 2, 2000, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope. Mr. Cason was born June 18, 1938, in Huttig to Homer and Edith McCartney Cason. He was a retired millwright at Potlatch. He had served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a member of Crossroads Assembly of God Church near Delight. He was preceded in death by his mother, Edith Jones, his father, Homer Cason, two brothers, Robert Cason Sr. and Kenneth Kirkham, a sister, Dena Diles and a nephew, Robert Cason Jr. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Craig Cason of Prescott; two sons, Wendell Cason of Prescott and Johnny Cason of Bricky; one daughter, Denis Harris of Prescott; his step-mother, Hazel Cason Hendrix; four brothers, Lindsey Cason of Nashville, Lee Cason of Prescott, David Kirkham of Prescott and Donald Kirkham of Prescott; two sisters, Joyce Walker of Prescott and Dorothy Hendrix of Prescott; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, a host of friends and a special cousin, Richard Fuller. Funeral services were held Friday, February 4, in the Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott with Rev. Dwight Craig and Rev. Glen Chambers officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of Shackelford Funeral Home of Prescott. Donald Jones Donald Jones, 68, of Delight died Tuesday, February 2, 2000, at Hot Springs. Mr. Jones was born August 6, 1931, in Prescott to Mort Jones and Myrtie Rogers Jones. He was a self-employed truck driver. He had served in the U.S. Army. He was a Methodist and member of the VFW. Survivors include his loving wife, Ruth Johnson Jones of Delight; two sons and daughters- in-law, Gary and Becky Jones of Monmouth, Ill., and Dennis and Grace Jones of Delight; three daughters, Harold Jones of Murfreesboro; Jerry Jones of Cabot and John Jones of Prescott; one sister, Dorothy Dale of Grandberry, Texas; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Funeral services were held Friday, February 4, in the Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott with Rev. Freeman Henderson and Rev. Russell Jones officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of Shackelford Funeral Home of Prescott. Minnie Bell Richardson Minnie Bell Richardson, 94, of Prescott died Wednesday, February 2, at Beverly Health and Rehab Center in Prescott. Mrs. Richardson was born February 28, 1905, in Hempstead County to Jerry and Mary William Johnson. She was a housewife, member of Green Hill AME Church in Hempstead County and a member of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Richardson, who died in 1980; a daughter, Annie J. Dixon; and by 15 brothers and sisters. Survivors include one son, George Richardson of Lonoke; six daughters, Gladine Wilson of Blevins, Mary E. Staggers of Texarkana, Ark., Dorothy Wheatfall of Houston, Texas, Arlene McGill of Shreveport, La., Marjorie Gulley of Hope and Joyce Robinson of Houston, Texas; 35 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday, February 7, at Green Hill AME Church with Dr. W. Grays Wynn officiating. Burial was in Green Hill Cemetery under the direction of Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott. Oleta Louise Estes Oleta Louise Estes, 71, of Prescott died Friday, February 4, 2000, in Wadley Regional Medical Center in Texarkana, Texas. Mrs. Estes was born October 29, 1928, in Lindsay, Okla., the daughter of Albert and Juanita Beam. She married Ray Estes on March 28, 1945. From this union six children were born. Mrs. Estes and her family moved to Prescott in August of 1966. She was active in the family Otasco (Oklahoma Tire and Supply) store from 1966 to 1984. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Baptist Church. She was an avid antique collector of glassware and home furniture. Mrs. Estes was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Monte Keith Estes and Roger Brett Estes. Remembering her and honoring her memory are the following family members: her husband of 54 years, Ray Estes of the family home in Prescott; two sons, Mark Estes and his wife, Diane, of White Hall and Chris Estes and his wife, Kathy, of Fulton; two daughters, Sherry Skouby of Enid, Okla., and Nanette Chism and her husband, Jim, of Bentonville; seven grandchildren; and one nephew and two nieces. Services were held Monday, February 7, in the Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott. Burial was in DeAnn Cemetery under the direction of Shackelford Funeral Home of Prescott.
