Nevada County Picayune and Gurdon Times Newspaper Archive |
RedlandHazel MeeksPublished Wednesday, February 9, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune There's sure not much to talk about except snow. In our part of the country we measured 16 inches. On Saturday, Cherrie and Katy Wilson and Samantha Gordon treated themselves to Chinese food and shopping in Arkadelphia. Gaywyn and Gary Golden from Murfreesboro visited and had lunch with George and Joy Cox on Saturday. Jackie Lucas from Little Rock honored her sister, Cherrie Wilson, by taking her to Western Sizzlin in Hope for her birthday. Katy felt the need to chaperon this party. Bonita Whitecotton from Shreveport, La., spent several days with her mother, Marie McKelvy, at Hillcrest Rehab last week. Casey Hendrix from Little Rock and Jessica Hendrix from Magnolia spent the weekend with their family, Kay and Junior Hendrix, and their sister, Kay, and her family. I'd say this is a birthday Cherrie Wilson won't soon forget. Cherrie's mother-in-law, Nancy Booker, attended church at Shady Grove and then traveled to Old Washington.
