The first quarterly conference was held at New Bethel AME Church Sunday, February 6. We really had a good quarter. Rev. T.W. Adair really did preach good. His subject was A New Road to Travel. It was the best one we had in a long time. The song Come and Go with Me, was uplifting.

The Magnolia District 213th year Founders Day celebration of the African Methodist Episcopal Church and budget reporting was held. Founder's Day message was by Rev. Larry Banks. He really did tell us how we got over. The occasion was by Sis. Patricia Robert. We had a good time all day.

We lost another one of our alumni at Oak Grove. Fay Nell Sanders, daughter of Ollie and Marie Sanders, has died. Her funeral was held in Dallas, Texas.

I have 135 alumni on my list, but I know I do not have them all. After a while there will not be an Oak Grove reunion.

Oscar Young was buried at Harris Chapel Friday. Mary Francis Burnell's was Tuesday. Oscar Young was the brother of Genia Burnell. Sympathy goes out to the Young family and the Sanders family.

Gertie Blake has been moved from Medical Park Hospital to a nursing home in Hope. She had a stroke and other problems. Let's pray for the sick and shut in.

Men's day was held at Oak Grove Sunday evening. Pleasant Grove was their guest church. Their pastor brought the message.
