CaneyRuby WickerPublished Wednesday, February 9, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune As I'm writing its been 11 days since snow started falling, nine days since it quit falling and we still have snow on the ground. Quite a bit in wooded areas and mounds of it where it was plowed out of streets and highways. Louise Rhodes, Lucy Glass, Margie Reed and I spent the weekend traveling with Francis Custom Tours of Arkadelphia. We went to Ft. Worth to the Gaither Concert. They picked us up and three other people from Prescott at Exit 44. We were surprised to see in a crowd of 4,000 people, four people from Prescott sitting about 20 feet in front of us. Anyway, we had a good time and enjoyed lots of Christian fellowship. The weather was really nice. They did not have the snow we had, but in places along the way they had some ice damage to trees. Bro. Tal Webb and his family had lunch with Bro. Junior and Ann Loe Saturday. Bob Lunsford took Bro. Tal and his family out for lunch Sunday. Sandy Hicks Brown is having surgery this week. Picky Cale of McCaskill visited Nez Callicott family and Bro. Raymond Hicks and family and other relatives here Sunday. Gary Hicks is moving back into the Caney community. He and family will be living in the corner across from the church. We hope our church will be in their future. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
