Rosston Council Hears UpdateBY JOHN MILLERPublished Wednesday, February 9, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune Rosston's City Council meeting was so short it is hard to call it a meeting. The panel met in regular session Thursday, Feb. 3, with one item on the agenda an update on the city's audit as well as the audit of the Rosston Water Department. Rosston Mayor Lewis Jackson said the auditors are now done with the books, and are working on their report. He said the report should be ready for the February meeting, with both to be discussed. After the meeting had adjourned, one of the councilmen asked if anything had been heard concerning the city's new firetruck. Jackson said the person they are buying the truck from is waiting on a part to come in. When it arrives and is installed, Rosston can pick the truck up. "We won't buy another one like this," Jackson said. This is because the firetruck was supposed to have been delivered several months ago, and the city has yet to see it. The only other thing on the agenda was a statement: "Too much snow isn't good for anyone." Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
