Golden Oldies

The Gurdon Senior Adult Center is a program of Central Arkansas Development Council. CADC has many services available for seniors that people are unaware of, energy assistance and home delivered meals to shut-ins are just a few.

Last week the seniors played bingo, the Musicmakers went to the nursing home in Arkadelphia. Wednesday Allen Wimberly, Gurdon band director, and three of his students played for us. We really enjoyed their music and appreciate them very much for doing it for us.

Monday we will have bingo. The seniors will eat at Bowen's on Tuesday evening. We will have walking exercise on Wednesday and Tommy Hays will be at the center Thursday so the seniors can square dance. A group of the seniors will take a trip to Murfreesboro on Friday and the dads will be honored.

Next week we'll have more Golden Oldies.
