P. Mabel WhitePublished Wednesday, January 26, 2000 in the Nevada County PicayuneMrs. P. Mabel White, 96, of Mineral Wells, Texas, formerly of Emmet, died Thursday, January 20, 2000, at the Resort Lodge Nursing Home in Mineral Wells. Mrs. White was born May 8, 1903, in Pine Bluff to William Marion and Emma Eliza Oaks. She was a housewife and a mother. She was a member of a non-denominational church. Mrs. White was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall H. White, and one son, Willie Clarence White, and by four great grandchildren, James Vandyke, Ronnie Garner, Sherry Garner and Kenneth Wayne Garner. Survivors include two sons, Frank White of Fort Worth, Texas, and James Olin White of Emmet; three daughters, Ruth D. Patterson of Emmet, Ruby Alexander of Sacramento, Calif., and Jo Gregory of Mineral Wells; 20 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and 17 great great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday, January 23, at Brazzel-Cornish Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Raymond Hicks officiating.
