Boughton NewsMrs. Willie HooksPublished Wednesday, January 26, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune Willie heard some wild geese going south last week. They may know more about the weather than the weathermen. Billy and Reba House attended the wedding of April Johnson and Paul Harman Saturday in Little Rock at Trinity Assembly of God Church. We extend our sympathy to the family and loved ones of Sue (Harris) McGlone. She passed away last week. Gene and Maxine Nistendirk attended her funeral in Winnsboro, Texas. I enjoyed a nice visit with Willie and Julene Hulan Friday. They brought us some delicious greens, turnips and green onions. Jim Meador, Freddie Garner and Larry Bruce enjoyed the Arkansas and Mississippi State basketball game with Everett and Mary Orren Saturday. Freddie treated them with delicious chili. Other than family, Shorty Garner, Harold White and Huey Garner visited Chloe Orren last week. Benny and Delight Blount, Heather and Elizabeth had dinner with his mother, Mae Blount, Saturday. Heather and Elizabeth spent the night. Sammy and Lauren House spent Sunday with Lenord and Faye House. Harold White also visited them during the week.
