Several students from Nevada County have made the dean's and chancellor's lists at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope for the fall semester.

Those on the dean's list are Janith Adams, Jamison Booker, Remona Block, James Bingham, Chad Bingham, Jessica Carey, Jill Butler, Jason Burton, Aaron Burke, Amanda Collier, Joseph Dougan, Laura Cutler, Casey Curtis, Michael Fountain, Aaron Ellis, Rachel Elliot, James Gober, Amber Glass, Miranda Harris, Velvet Polite, Melinda Johnson, Jason Johnson, Jeremy Kretz, Christy Martin, Andrea Maroon, Damon McKinnon, Marcus McGough, Paul Myrick, Chanda Zachery, Cynthia Thomas, Mya Tharp, Nikki Schee, Clint Stockton, Donna St. Clair, Marisa Smyth, Thomas Smith, Mary Shaw, Jayson Rhodes and Melanie Reitzell.

Those on the chancellor's list include Dawnda Bellas, Ramona Brown, Lisa Dougan, Anita Foster, Alicia Gulley, Melanie Guthrie, Johnnie Henderson, Brandi Jester, Melissa Jackson, Steven Inlow, Tamra Marlar, Catherine Marcum, Krista Niemeyer, Loren Neldon, Rebecca Oung, Amber Young, Nancy White, Tina Walker-Purtle, Scott Tosche, Diana Tosch and Kenneth Russell.

Henderson State University has announced its list of students named to the dean's list and honor roll for the fall semester 1999.

To be named to the dean's list, students must have a 4.0 grade point average for the semester. To be named to the honor roll, students maintain a 3.5 grade point average for the semester.

Kelly Harvey of Prescott is an undergraduate who made make the dean's list. She is a senior elementary education major.

Students from Prescott named to the honor roll are Andrew Almand, a sophomore accounting major with a 3.81 GPA; Laura Culpepper, a junior physical education major with a 3.82 GPA; Tim Estes, a biology major with a 3.69 GPA; Donald Harris, a junior business administration-computer science major with a 3.5 GPA; and Penny Inlow, a senior social science major with a 3.54 GPA.

Saundra Greene, a senior elementary education major from Emmet is also on the honor roll with a 3.75 GPA.

Shanaz Noel King, the granddaughter of Mrs Lillie Mae King of 325 Washington Road in Prescott, has just completed her first semester at Santa Catalina School in Monterey, Calif. Santa Catalina upper school is a girl's college preparatory school.

King finished the first semester of the tenth grade on the honor roll with a 3.63 G.P.A. She is currently residing with her parents in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
