FFA Camp Attended By 7 From GHSPublished Wednesday, June 16, 1999 in the Gurdon TimesSeven members of the Gurdon FFA, Donnie Deaton, Tyler Edmonson, Adam Clark, Matthew Lynch, Kristen Mallet, Jennifer Smith and Stacey Stone, FFA advisor, went to Hot Springs on June 2 to Camp Couchdale for the 72nd Arkansas FFA Convention. They returned June 4. The members listened to four convention speakers, met many new friends as well as old ones, and were entertained by many young Arkansas talents and the Arkansas FFA Band. Members also observed a delegate business session. They met the current and past state FFA officers and met the candidates for FFA state offices and heard their speeches. The FFA members attended the FFA dance, which for many was the highlight of the convention. They will be attending the 1999 Leadership Convention in July.
