'Aladdin Is Set'Published Wednesday, January 26, 2000 in the Gurdon TimesA simple caress of a lamp sets the stage for a young boy as Children's Theatre presents Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp February 4-20 at the Arkansas Arts Center, Ninth and Commerce, in MacArthur Park in Little Rock. After Aladdin is whirled unconsciously into an abyss by the evil sorcerer Maghrabi, he awakes to find a lamp next to him. A simple innocent stroke brings forth a genie that grants wishes and gives advice and leads his new master on a perilous journey through Arabia. Performance times are 7:30 p.m. on Fridays, 2 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Tickets are $7 per person. Arts Center members receive a discount.
