The Clark County Extension office in Arkadelphia has a new look in a new building. Its new address is 501 Clay Street, in the former Department Human Services building, which held the courtroom for a while. The phone number remains the same 246-2281.

The baseball and softball boosters will be meeting Jan. 27 at 7:00 p.m. All participants' parents are encouraged to attend. The meeting will be held in the Gurdon Municipal Building.

David Goodson of the Farm Service Agency wishes to inform livestock producers that the final date to request benefits through the Livestock Assistance Program has been extended until February 4. For details call the Clark County FSA office at 870-246-9816.

Brett and April Kuhn of Gurdon are proud to announce the birth of their son, Kyle Payton, who was born Sunday, January 16, 2000. Weighing seven pounds and three ounces, Kyle has one brother, Drew Kuhn.

Tim Sallee, an evangelist from Fayetteville, is holding a revival at First Assembly of God in Gurdon. It will continue through tonight (Wednesday), January 26. The service begins at 7:00.

Hollywood Baptist Church will be holding a fifth Sunday singing Jan. 30 at 11:00 a.m. Featuring the group, Designed by Grace' of Gurdon. Everyone is welcome.

Shady Grove Baptist Church of Prescott will be having a super Saturday supper January 29. Takeouts are available and tickets are available at the door.

The Arkansas Rehabilitation Services will be holding sessions on January 27 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Gurdon Municipal building. Call 353-2514 for an appointment.

The city of Gurdon reminds residents the storm sirens are tested every Wednesday at 12:00 noon. Sirens are not tested during inclement weather.

Gurdon Lions Club is now able to begin collecting old eye glasses. The collection point in Gurdon is First Baptist Church or you can call Charles Shaver at 353-4640.

Old glasses are recycled by Lions International.

Gurdon Masonic Lodge 187 meets the first and third Tuesday of each month. All members are urged to attend.

Alcoholics Anonymous meets on Wednesdays and Sundays at 8:00 p.m. at the American Legion building, Highway 67 North, one mile out of Gurdon.
