Helping Hands EHCPublished Wednesday, January 19, 2000 in the Nevada County PicayuneThe Bluff City Helping Hands Extension Homemakers Club met January 14 for its regular meeting. There were 13 members present. Marguerite Tomlin, president, called the meeting to order. The club was honored to have Candace Carrie visiting. The members were glad to have Doris Barlow join the club. It is good to have her back. Betty Perkins read the Club Collect. Kay Nelson gave the inspirational thought. Roll call was by Laverne Green, secretary, with everyone telling How to be better organized.' Life would be a lot easier if we would get better organized. Laverne Green, secretary, read the minutes for November and December. The Christmas party in December was enjoyed by all. It is a time to reveal secret pals and draw for next year. Betty Lewis, Ruth Bumpus and Margie Knight will be on the service committee for January, February and March. Kay Nelson won the door prize. Candace Carrie gave a lot of good pointers on How to get better organized.' It is something everyone should work on. The meeting was adjourned, then potluck was enjoyed by everyone.
