Pauline Ingram Aiken

Pauline Ingram Aiken, 97, of Hope died Sun., Jan. 16, 2000, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope.

Mrs. Aiken was born January 15, 1903, in Nevada County to James Culpepper and Pinkney Paralee Merritt Ingram. She was a homemaker, a retired caregiver and general store salesperson. She was a member of Carolina Methodist Church of Rosston. She was raised in the Rosston area and was the last of 12 brothers and sisters. She was a former resident of Kelly Memorial Homes. Her nieces and nephews had given her a 97th birthday party the day before she died and she had a great time. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Leroy Aiken who died in 1940 and by one son, Alfred Leroy Aiken II.

Survivors include one grandson, Alfred Leroy Aiken III; two great grandchildren, Jennifer Lynn Bates of Gaitsville, Texas, and Christopher Neal Aiken of North Carolina; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Thurs., Jan. 20, at Kilgore Cemetery in Kilgore, Texas, under the direction of Brazzel/Oakcrest
