Clean-Up At Millwood Is This Saturday, Sept. 11

The Great Arkansas Clean-Up is a statewide event held annually to beautify the state through local cleanup events. The clean-up is managed and carried out by volunteers in each county. This year's event will be held on Saturday, September 11.

Volunteers are asked to contact the local county coordinator for cleanup locations and trash bags for the clean-up at Millwood Lake.

Following the cleanup efforts there will be a thank you' picnic held on Millwood Lake at Beard's Bluff Overlook pavilion for participants. Volunteers bringing a bag of trash can register for over 100 prizes from the Destination Arkansas Giveaways' to be given away at the Arkansas State Fair in October. They may also register for prizes to be given away at the picnic.

Starting time for the cleanup will be 8 a.m. The picnic will be held at 11 a.m.
