Alcoholics Anonymous, a fellowship of men and women who wish to stop drinking, meets every Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church.

Al-Anon, for those affected by another's drinking, meets Thursday evenings at 8:00 in the church. For more information call 887-5991.

A representative of the Texarkana Social Security office will be at the Nevada County Courthouse Thursday, January 27, Thursday, February 24 and Thursday, March 23.

An appreciation service for evangelist MaDonna Haynes will be held on Saturday, January 15, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, January 16, at 3:00 p.m. at the Fair Park Community Center in Hope.

There will local groups and choirs performing. The special guests on Saturday will be The Revelators of Camden and The Mighty Jordanairs of El Dorado. On Sunday, apostle Dennis Cook and the New Life Outreach Ministry of Lewisville will be special guests. Everyone is invited.

A retirement reception will be held for George Darrell Glass Thursday, January, 13 from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the chamber office. Glass has worked for the city of Prescott for over 30 years.

Diabetic education will be held Wednesday, January 12, at 2 p.m. at Alliance Home Health in Prescott. The topic will be carbohydrates.
