Lee Vant FletcherPublished Wednesday, January 12, 2000 in the Gurdon TimesLee vant Fletcher, 90, of Benton, formerly of Gurdon, died Sunday, January 9, 2000, in the Benton Service Center. Mr. Fletcher was born December 8, 1909, in Beirne, the son of the late Charles Edgar and Elizabeth Williams Fletcher. He was a boiler operator for the Gurdon Lumber Co. and a Protestant. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Sue Ball Fletcher. Survivors include three daughters, Anita Wright of Lonsdale, Loretta Beirne of Benton and Ruth Ann Elmore of Jacksonville; six grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; and one nephew, Allen G. Fletcher of Benton. Graveside services were Tuesday, January 10, 2000, at Bethel Springs Cemetery with Rev. David Beirne officiating.
