DeGray Sets Eagles Et Cetra For Jan. 28-30Published Wednesday, January 12, 2000 in the Gurdon TimesDeGray Lake Resort State Park will host the 21st annual Eagles Et Cetera January 28, 29 and 30. Activities will feature the American bald eagle as well as other birds of prey, such as owls, hawks and vultures. Guided bird walks, owl prowls, lake tours to see bald eagles and waterfowl and evening presentations will keep visitors busy for the weekend. Registration will begin at 4 p.m. on Friday, January 28, at the park lodge. Programs conclude at noon on Sunday, January 30. Guest speakers include falconer Howard Davis, park interpreter Don Simons and the staff from the Little Rock Zoo. Lake tour tickets are $5.25 for adults over 12 and $2.75 for kids 6-12 years old. All other programs are free to park guests. Registration is required for lake tours, owl prowls and bird walks since trips are limited to a certain number or participants.
