Early Voting Ready For School Election

Published Wednesday, September 8, 1999 in the Nevada County Picayune

Absentee voting has begun at the courthouse for the upcoming school election September 21.

If voters are not able to vote on election dayfor either being out of town or because of work or other reasonsthey may vote early. Ballots will be in the clerk's office at the courthouse.

Poll workers have been named for all three school districts. They are as follows:

Prescott School District: Bud Vandiver, sheriff; Lenora McWilliams, clerk; Pearl Payne, clerk; Maxine Freeman, clerk; Mary Johnson, judge; Willie Muldrew, judge and Lois Harris, judge.

Nevada School District: Nancy Fore, sheriff, Sonja Yarbrough, Ellen Sue Dougan, Dorothy Broussard and Ardell Johnson.

Emmet School District: James Osborn, sheriff, Ruth Jones, Ophelia Thompson, Jo Ann Arnett, Billy Joe Arnett and Winifred Ward.
