John Calvin Wilson

John Calvin Wilson, 82, of Magnolia died Sunday, January 2, 2000.

Mr. Wilson was born March 8, 1917, in Columbia County to John Edward Wilson and Sophrona Alice Wallace Wilson. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a Baptist, a long time member of Woodman of the World, and a retired night watchman for Coppers Corporation. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Mary Ann Harvey Wilson.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Caroline Arrington and Larry of Stephens; one sister, Reva Roberts of Magnolia; one brother, Homer Wilson of Stephens; three grandsons, Larry Arrington and Jason Arrington both of Stephens; and Kevin Arrington of Norphlet; one granddaughter, Amy Triplet of Emerson; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Graveside services were held Monday, January 3, in New Hope Cemetery with Bro. Wayne Tompkins officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home of Magnolia.

Pallbearers were Larry Arrington Jr., Jason Arrington, Kevin Arrington, Jarrett Triplet, Bobby Joe Wilson and Maurice Tye.
