Christmas has come and gone. We are looking forward for a happy new year.

George and I are both sick. However, we are both blessed to be alive and we have been blessed to have some good neighbors. Mrs. Gloria Young brought our dinner. It was very good. There was some of everything.

Sympathy goes out to the Sanders family over the death of their loved one.

Hershie Young is out of the hospital after having five bypasses. His brother, Elmer, said Sunday that he feels good. Let us continue to pray for the sick and shut-in.

Our nieces came Sunday afternoon and brought dinner. Visiting were Merly Iaffers and her mother-in-law from Berkeley, Calif., and Bobby and Bonnie from Chicago, Ill.

I missed going to church Christmas Day.

Mrs. Vera Purifoy went to visit her sister, Mrs. Velma, and husband, Lupo in Dallas.

Mrs. Johnnie Marsh went to visit her daughter, Jessie Scott, in Dallas. I missed her good cooking.

There will be a watch night meeting at New Bethel AME Church New Year's night. Everyone is welcome.

The Young Circuit first quarter will be held at New Salem AME Church the first Sunday in February. Rev. Thomas Adair will be presiding elder. Lessly Banks is the pastor.

The Mayor of Rosston delivered a Christmas box to George and me last week. There was some of everything in it. It was very nice. Thanks to Rosston City and a special thanks to Mr. Jackson who delivered the box.

Frannie Gulley Young died Monday morning. She is the sister of Zannie Gulley of Rosston.

James Charles brought us the best pecans. They are nice. James is the nephew of Mrs. Gertie Blake. They gave her a new stove for Christmas. They really see after her.

Happy New Year to everyone.
