I guess now we can all relax and get on with our regular schedules; the holidays are over and the big new year has arrived. Hope that everyone had a wonderful time celebrating each event.

It sounds as Leslie Renfro has had a busy schedule during the holidays. He had an appointment to see his eye doctor Monday last week and was released.

Annie Lee Cornelius, Leslie Renfro, Paul Boyd and George Cornelius had lunch with David and Karen Cobb on Christmas.

Thomas and Ruby Fontaine were passing through Nubbin Hill Sunday and apparently Leslie Renfro was out for a walk and they stopped and visited with him for a little while.

J.J. Skaggs from Little Rock spent the week with Tony and Kim Overton. Their nephew had a wonderful time during his stay with us. We took him home Sunday afternoon.

Tom and Jack Cornelius has been under the weather. When they can't get out and go hunting, you know they are sick. They are both feeling better, thank goodness.

Reggie and Jesna Lamb from Horatio visited with Jack and Jimmie Cornelius over the weekend.

Don and Marilyn Collins took a trip to the east coast. They left a week ago Sunday and returned Friday. There were several places they toured.

Aaron Morton spent Saturday night with his Aunt Pam Cleveland and her family. He went to church with them Sunday, then spent the day with his Mamaw and Papaw Glass.

Tim, Susan and baby Brady Purifoy from Arkadelphia and Margaret and Kristen Patterson visited with George Cornelius last week. They exchanged Christmas gifts.

Kim Overton, Al Formby, J.J. Skaggs, Aaron Morton and myself spent New Year's Eve with J.W. and Maxine Glass. We played bingo, visited, ate, shot fireworks and of course waited for the big event. There were around 24 folks there.

I know our area is not that large. If you have any news that you would like to have printed, please call me Sunday afternoon. I don't know everything that goes on.

School is back in full swing, so all you motorist watch out for the kids. Have a safe and glorious week.

Just remember you make life what it is, so if you want a good one it is up to you.
