Golden OldiesDoris VancePublished Wednesday, January 5, 2000 in the Gurdon Times Hope everyone survived the holidays. It is really hard to believe that we are in the year 2000. I was able to enjoy the holidays with most of my family, for which I was very thankful. We enjoyed a good Christmas dinner at the center last Thursday. Monday, Jan. 3, we started another year at the Gurdon Senior Adult Center. We will play bingo each Monday. The activities for this week will be 'Down Memory Lane,' 'Crazy Hot Day,' strumming and singing with art, consumer alert, puzzles, shuffle board and shopping. We have been thinking the last few days of those who are no longer with us either because they are homebound or have gone to meet the Lord. We would love to extend an invitation for those 60 and over to come and join us. I can assure you that you will be very glad you did.
