Francis Evans and son of Oklahoma visited her daughter and granddaughter in Arkadelphia, her brother, Danny Hart and family of Gurdon, her Aunt Laura Grigsley of Burtsell, and other relatives and friends over the weekend.

Mammie Hodge of Ft. Worth, Texas, visited her parents over the weekend, Floyd and Margree Gatlin of Gurdon.

Billy Hunter, son of Mary Hunter and the late Arron Hunter, passed away. His funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 3, 2000, at 11:00 a.m. at Roanoke Baptist Church near Gurdon.

Eddie M. Reddus of Chicago, Ill., funeral was held graveside, Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999, at First Baptist Church in Okolona.

The Martin Luther King celebration will be held Monday, January 17, at the Mt. Canaan Baptist Church. Everyone is welcome. Rev. Johnny C. Harris, pastor. Rev. B.F. Smith of Camden will be the speaker.

Rev. Betty Gulley is on the sick list.
