Dot N. Bonds

Dot N. Bonds, 87, of Hot Springs, formerly of Blevins, died Saturday, December 25, 1999, at National Park Medical Center in Hot Springs.

Mrs. Bonds was born March 24, 1912, in Nevada County to Hugh E. and Mattie E. Shuffield Nolen. She was a housewife and former dietician and cafeteria supervisor at Blevins School. She was a member of Hot Springs Baptist Church, a charter member of Bethel Baptist Church in Prescott and a former member of Marlbrook Baptist Church in Blevins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Lee 'Bob' Bonds, who died in 1963, by one granddaughter, Gaye Garner Simmons, by two brothers, Coy and John Nolen, and by three sisters, Thalia Martin, Rhea Pye and Era Cope.

Survivors include three sons, Robert N. 'Bobby' Bonds, and Patsy of Bryant, Jerry Lee Bonds, and Sherry of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Johnny Wayne Bonds of Nacogdoches, Texas; two daughters, Teresa Newsom and Hoyett of Hot Springs and Nell Garner and Ronnie of Hot Springs; two sisters, Jean Royston of Hope and Alice Ward of Hot Springs; and 15 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services were Tuesday, December 28, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott with Rev. Harold Presley and Rev. Paul Choate officiating. Burial was in Marlbrook Cemetery under the direction of Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
