News from the past two weeks

The Ellis Baileys attended the Spencer Harris Christmas supper at The Barn in Emerson Monday night.

On Tuesday night the Ellis Baileys had supper at Western Sizzlin in Magnolia with Robert and Wendy Bailey and Keith and Betty Gibson.

Ellen and Joey Wallace brought their new baby girl home from Texarkana on Wednesday. Ellen and Joey's mother have been helping them out. They had Haley Morgan in church Sunday.

Ted and Amy Morman attended their step brother's wedding in Pine Bluff recently.

Joe and Virginia Dillard, Mary Joe Gregory and Garland Lewis and Roscoe and I attended the living Christmas tree performance at Immanuel Baptist Church in Cullendale one night last week.

Delton Bustin spent two days in Medical Park Hospital this week.

Helen Daniel spent a couple of days in St. Michael this week.

Marjorie East passed away this week. The funeral was at Bluff Springs Thursday morning with burial at Mt. Moriah. Roscoe and a few from Rosston attended. Please remember this family in your prayers.

Dail Evans celebrated his 80th birthday last Saturday night by taking all his family to The Rails for supper. All but two were present.

The Tom Goodwin family had their annual reunion at Whites Chapel Church on Saturday night. This was the 43rd reunion and they had 52 present.

Ila Carpenter attended her nephew's daughter's wedding in Texarkana on Saturday.

Maxine Luck came home on Thursday from Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock where she had surgery and therapy for a broken hip. She will get therapy treatments at home. They had their family get-together for Christmas Sunday. Please remember A.B. and Maxine in your prayers. She still has a long way to go. Roscoe and I visited with them on Thursday.

Church was low in members Sunday, but we had several visitors. After church the youth delivered Christmas boxes to needy families and then went caroling. Afterwards they had refreshments at the church.

Ruth Vinson will enter the hospital on January 6 in Texarkana for surgery.

Helen Herring is in Magnolia Hospital. Remember these sick people when you pray.

Delton Bustin brought Venlta home from Hillcrest in Prescott for a few days. They visited with us a while Saturday morning.

We had our Christmas outing with my brother, Billy Schmitt, and his wife of hope on Friday night. Their twin granddaughters, Keri and Kayla, went with us. We had supper at Western Sizzlin in Arkadelphia and went on the tour of lights at Iron Mountain on DeGray Lake. It is a beautiful sight.
