Fair HillBarbara CorneliusPublished Wednesday, December 29, 1999 in the Nevada County Picayune Christmas holiday is now over. I hope that you all had a wonderful time with your families. Reggie and Jesna Lamb had to cut their honeymoon short on account of the snow. They left Saturday evening and returned home Tuesday night. Best of luck in the future. Christmas Eve we spent the evening with my family, J.W. and Maxine Glass. Santa Claus dropped in for a short visit. All seven of the Glass kids were there, along with their families. There were 36 family members in all to enjoy the get together. Jack and Jimmie Cornelius had a house full Christmas Day. I think some came that afternoon to finish off all the food that Jimmie had prepared. David and Patricia Kirkham had a house full Christmas Eve night. Mrs. Thompson, grandchildren and great grandchildren all spent the night. Mrs. Ruby told me that she and Thomas had a big Christmas. Present were their children, Roy Fontaine, and family from Tucson, Ariz., Glen and Marilyn Langley from Baton Rouge, La., John Henry Collins and kids from Memphis, Tenn., Clay Collins from Phoenix, Don Collins and kids from Magnolia, Lonnie and Julie Huntley and Abbey Collins all from Prescott. Henry Stuart had his family with him Sunday for Christmas. These included Johnny Stuart and family, David and Louise Walker and family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Tom and I enjoyed having his dad (Lewis Cornelius) Mike, Marcia Jo and Stuart Ridling, Donna and Brandon Tullis, Bill Martin, John Cornelius, Neil, Sonja and Morgan Ridling, Jim and Sue Cornelius, Martha Steed for a Christmas celebration. We all enjoyed the visit and food. David and Nina Beth Thompson visited with Mrs. Ruth Thompson Christmas Eve. Aaron Morton is spending Christmas holiday with his dad, Mike Morton, at McCaskill. He went to Hope to have Christmas with his Papaw Ernest and Pat, Christmas morning. Al Formby and Tony and Kim Overton had Christmas with Larry Overton on the 25th. They enjoyed the time they spent with all the family members. I visited with Lewis and Irene Cornelius at the nursing home Sunday afternoon. Morris Baptist Church was there presenting music and Bro. Tal Webb gave a short sermon. Julie Stockton, Alan and Lisa Skinner and Brittney had Christmas dinner with Dudley Stockton. Sure was glad to hear that Dudley is doing okay after having heart surgery two weeks ago. They went to their mom's (Geraldine Greenwood) for a get together Christmas night. We need to keep our National Guard unit in our prayers this weekend. They will travel to Little Rock for their weekend drill. Have a safe and happy New Year.
