Malinda MathewsPublished Wednesday, June 16, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneMalinda Mathews, 95, of Camden, formerly of Emmet, died Saturday, June 12, 1999, at her home. Mrs. Mathews was born March 6, 1904, in Emmet to John and Fannie Roseberry Wade. She was a homemaker and a life long member of the Methodist Church. Mrs. Mathews also attended Believers Church in Camden for the last 10 years. Her pastor there was Terry Maris; she attended Wednesday night services at Chidester Faith and Fellowship Church with Bro. Tommy Barnhart. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Mathews. Survivors include four daughters, Tinna Lyles and Mary Lou McNeal both of Chidester, Fannie Mathews of Longview, Texas, and Janice Bailey of Victoria, Texas; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were Tuesday, June 15, in the Herndon Funeral Home Chapel at Hope with Rev. Brian Bohrer and Rev. J.R. Callicott officiating.
