Golden OldiesDoris VancePublished Wednesday, December 22, 1999 in the Gurdon Times We senior adult ladies had a treat last Thursday. Charlotte Shepherd took several to visit the home of Pam Davis in Arkadelphia. Her home was fantastic! A Christmas tree was in every room, along with Teddy bears and lighted miniature houses. It was very beautiful and we thank her for opening her home to us. Jerry Don Childers and the first grade sang for the senior adults on Wednesday and for the Rotary on Thursday. Friday the Head Start Children sang for us, then several of the ladies went shopping at Wal-Mart. This week we will have our monthly council meeting and the seniors were to dine out at Kregs on Tuesday evening. The 4-H Club kids will be at the center on Wednesday. On Thursday, there will be cake for the monthly birthdays. The center will be closed on Friday, Dec. 24, and Monday, Dec. 27. The center is a program of Central Arkansas Development Council and a United Way agency. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
