Brown, Smillie Win FB Contest

Published Wednesday, December 22, 1999 in the Nevada County Picayune

Arkansas has been the nation's number one poultry-producing state since 1972. Cash receipts from poultry products first exceeded one billion dollars in 1981 and have remained over one billion dollars in eight of the last nine years.

The Arkansas Farm Bureau Federation sponsored a state poultry promotion poster contest recently. The theme for posters entered was poultry production, poultry marketing, utilization, nutrition or other related topics.

Chris Brown and Justin Smillie won the Nevada County contest and went on to win the state poultry promotion poster contest.

Each received $100 in prize money.
