Evaline 'Evia' GriggsPublished Wednesday, December 22, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneEvaline Evia' Griggs, 72, of Prescott died Sun., Dec. 12, 1999, at her home. Mrs. Griggs was born Jan. 18, 1927. in Prescott to Daniel Leroy and Berdie Decie Herick Tate. She was a waitress, cook and a Baptist. Survivors include one brother, D.L. Tate of Chicago, Ill.; three sisters, Mary Jo Blake of Prescott, Lafern Wilson of Chicago and Gearldean Bruno of Rosebud; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services were held Wed., Dec. 15, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Rev. Neal Ridling officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Brazzel-Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
