Sister Kathy Sanders was the guest speaker from Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. We had a skit 'One Lost Boy.' Sister Sanders is a wonderful speaker. We had a wedding at Oak Grove Baptist Church Saturday evening. Herbert Coleman and Brenda Coleman's daughter was married. I heard it was really nice. Claude Thorne and wife Helen is still in Detroit, Mich., at their second home. I visited Vera Purifoy last week. She is having problems with her hand. She is a very smart woman and has a beautiful flower yard. Sis. Girtie B. Blake is on our sick list. Let's pray for the sick and shut-in. Clara Purifoy Sims died Saturday. Her funeral has not been set at this writing. Stella Martin Warren is not doing well at all. A revival began Monday, June 14, at Cana AME Church. The evangelist is Rev. Eugene Toney. The pastor is Rev. L. Banks. Senior citizens day will be held at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Sunday, June 20, at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Lessly Banks will bring the message from the Young Circuit, sponsored by Sis. Ruth Ingram. All senior citizens are welcome to come. Our Sunday school convention will start Thursday in Texarkana.
