We extend our sympathy to the family of Harvey Barham. He passed away in Texas, but will be brought back to his home for burial. His funeral will be Thursday morning at 10 a.m. at Shady Grove Church with burial in Liberty Cemetery.

Betty Sue and Lloyd Dodwell of Gurdon were honored Saturday by their children on their 50th wedding anniversary. Some of her family who attended from Missouri were her sister, Eros Goodlow, Eros' daughter Mary Belle Maxwell and husband, Donald; her brother, L.C. Elmore; and his son Jerry and his wife and daughter. Those who attended from Prescott were Francis and Shorty McDade and Gladys Wicker.

Those visiting Syble Brown during the week were J.D. and Mildred Kelly, Lawner and Arleen West and Patricia Young.

Congratulations to Reginol Gierth and Vivian Marie Payne. They were married Saturday night, December 11, at Boughton Baptist Church.

We extend our sympathy to the family and loved ones of Marshall McFee. He passed away last week. He is the nephew of Mrs. Winderleen Jester. Jimmy and Jody Jester, Thomas and Tim Jester attended his funeral in Waco, Texas.

J.D. and Mildred Kelly, Margie Lucas and Frank Wilson visited J.D. and Mary Ann during the week.

Christmas is that day of the year when mother has to separate the men from the toys.
